Pros

The 1 pro was that it teaches people to strive for something (you won't get it in primerica)

Cons

I worked for primerica for 8 years, I wanted to have a job where I didn't have a boss and could make an "unlimited income" the truth of the matter is, the ONLY people that are making money is the people that got in years and years ago when the company first started, because if you're the beginning of the pyramid. You make money off a very large percentage of the people that join, and those people that join got in early enough to make good money so they easily got more people to join and so on for x amount of levels. And those are the main people that primerica parades around at the seminars (very culty vibe) and meetings to make the new recruits think they can achieve it too. I could write for hours about the false claims but I'll keep it short. The rvps and people above you aren't making the money they say. I was told as an rvp to tell all my recruits I was making 300k a year, when in fact the highest amount I ever made was 56K in a year, also what they don't tell you is 70% of the people who buy a policy are the new recruits, it's basically pushed on them when they join, and since 100k people quit the business on avg yearly, almost all the ones that bought a policy in the excitement of joing cancel the policy as well, which in turn the agent who sold it gets HIT WITH CHARGEBACKS! a charge back is the amount you were paid up front by primerica on the first years premium. So if you made $600 on a policy and that person ends up canceling. You're hit with a charge back that you have to payback when you sell the next one, and since the rate of cancellstion is so high you basically end up just using the money you make to pay for the many charge backs you'll be hit with, also primerica, like other mlms makes very large payments to government agency's to be able to operate and keep them from being investigated (those organizations are starting to crackdown though.) All the Motivational speakers and books agents are told to buy so they can gain knowledge are strategically chosen by primerica to push a certain narrative on the agents that benefit primerica and they are ALL PAID BY PRIMERICA to speak etc... soon a law will be passed that requires primerica and other mlms not to make false income statements about their income which will certainly have a big affect on one of the main weapons they use to recruit people who are in bad situations financially... I will close with what is probably the most important thing... no matter what lies you are told the reality is 99.4% LOSE MONEY!!!! this Is not an opinion, it's a 100% fact. They also pay big $ to certain websites to have bad reviews replaced with good ones. This may be stopped by a new law as well. I encourage people to do actual research. Many intelligent well respected people have done documentaries on the truths about mlms. If you want an entertaing one where you can get a laugh as well. Look up "John Oliver mlm" on YouTube. Primerica has ruined relationships of many people who joined. As well as been hit with countless lawsuits from shady business dealings. Like the one where they convinced over 200 firefighters police, and teachers to switch their 401k to a terrible one that primerica said would be "much better" I couldn't handle feeling like a piece of scum anymore and I'm glad I got out. Some people aren't as fortunate and they lose everything because they are afraid to leave because from day 1 you are told "everyone who leaves is a lazy failure"

Pros

Nice if you can make money by having people you recruited.

Cons

Mislead by being told about they have leads for you and that you will educate people about life insurance and other services. They are focused on recruiting.
