Pros

Fair benefits, honestly have nothing more to say that was good about this company. Truly the only thing that I thought was decent and I don’t mean great was the benefits.

Cons

Pay is poor. No work life balance, micromanaging to the extreme. Bloated middle mgt who have relations with other co workers? say what? Mgt stuck in 1980s sit around and gossipin about their employees. This is appalling, unprofessionalism at its finest. Good ole boy network. If you aren’t related in one way or another you will not fit in in home health here. Zero autonomy. These people look like they have 2 heads so imbred it’s just gross. Directors and middle managers need to go. Hire people who are professional, demonstrate professionalism work place ethics, stop the bullying hostile abusive, yelling at their employees say what??? Just don’t work here. It’s like stepping back to a different era where good ole boy mentality meets new age. Get rid of this toxic high school environment. I think most of the middle managers have been riding coat tails of others for wayyyy too long. Just don’t. Ewe.

Pros

(This is for Providence St Vincent Medical Center in PDX) - staffing ratios - break nurses - ONA union - coworkers on my unit are very helpful and kind (can’t speak for every unit though)

Cons

- upper management hates the nursing union - we are short on many supplies on weekend night shifts - crappy insurance - my unit’s manager is almost never there, they’re always on vacation or working remote. This makes our manager very out of touch with the unit’s needs
