Pros
One star for branding and one for good friends I made. Possibility to only use English while working (if your Chinese is as poor as mine ;-)), and work environment is quite international and very gender inclusive. The branding can be very good for your resume ! Quite suitable for people with family, the working hour is quite flexible, possibility to work from home. Quite a lot of paid leaves for China.
Cons
There are so many to say... in one word...politics ! Do not make mistake like me, don't be attracted by the prestigious branding that has proved its professionalism for more than 150 years. This is not PwC, but Service Delivery Center, that is a cheap outsourcing office where people are involved in low challenging and low profitable projects. If you are passionate about IT industry, this place is not for you, despite agility is getting to be accepted by leaders (especially SCRUM), so many basic engineering best practices are ignored. Despite people there are gentle, some are good at talking, the higher executive are too busy to care about the firm image, they forget caring about people willing to give their potential, also, despite's the values what they try to say, there no trust, no passion and no culture of feedback, the annual review (called career round table) was totally ignored, my own manager was unable to give me a genuine feedback and action plan to self-improve. If you know how to play politics, good for you, me I don't as a software engineer. I was able to work in my assigned role, until I made the mistake of asking a role transfer, then the request was not responded and was put on bench for EIGHT months until I fortunately saved my career by joining another firm.
