Things at QAD have changed a lot since the new CEO, Sanjay, joined, and not in a good way.
Employees are now required to come to the office 4 days a week, and office hours are tracked very strictly. We are expected to complete 9 full hours in the office, and even being a few minutes short (like 8 hours and 58 minutes) is marked as a half day. This feels harsh and unnecessary.
Work pressure has increased a lot. Deadlines are often unrealistic, and people are constantly stressed and exhausted.
Despite all this, there was no annual salary hike, and employees were told that they “do not deserve it.” This has badly affected morale.
Most meetings still happen online on Google Meet, even though Mumbai employees are asked to travel long distances and carry their laptops to the office four days a week, which doesn’t feel practical or meaningful.
In the office, many people are tired from the daily commute and openly complain to each other. But very few speak up to management because they are scared of losing their jobs.
On top of this, the company has laid off very experienced employees, including people with 25–30 years of experience who helped build the product. This has made many employees worried about the future of the company.
