A One-sided Arrangement - Manager QVC Employee Review

Pros

Co-workers. Cafeteria. Relatively nice workspaces.

Cons

Contributions to the bottom line are only recognized if the right person in the company chooses to recognize them. Loyalty has increasingly become one-sided and the employees know this all too well. Even high performers understand that when the CEO announces that "net neutral" changes are coming, their days as an employee could be numbered. Think twice before you sacrifice your work-life balance and invest passion and loyalty into this company. You'll likely find your return on investment disappointing and your stress level higher than necessary.

Pros

Only pros - wfh and you get a nice discount

Cons

Everything else. Management/corporate have unrealistic kpis. You can only use the rr during your SCHEDULED break. You have to offer a sale to EVERY CALLER even if they are already upset. You can NOT hang up even if the customer is screaming/offending you. My manager once said I should’ve been more patient. Mind you the customer was already using foul language and belittling me. I POLITELY asked the customer to please refrain from using that kind of language. It continued and I told her I would have to release the call. Also you stop getting a raise after 2 years. You cap at $17/hr.
