Pros

On the positive side, the company previously offered good opportunities for international travel (before COVID). There were also chances for promotion, and the option to work remotely was available, which supported flexibility and work–life balance.

Cons

The company frequently lets go of strong performers, creating a continuously unstable environment. Leadership, strategy, and budgets change often, which makes long-term planning difficult. Promises made to employees are rarely fulfilled. There are no relocation opportunities, and internal mobility is also very limited, making it difficult to move into other roles within the company.

Pros

Quest Software is a great place to work. The people are genuinely good people, very knowledgeable, and always willing to help. Quest is a strong environment if you enjoy solving complex technical problems, working with experienced teams, and helping customers address real business and security challenges. The company has a deep portfolio, talented employees, and many opportunities to collaborate across sales, presales, product management, engineering, and customer-facing teams. I also appreciate the flexibility, the trust given to senior employees, and the ability to contribute strategically beyond a narrow job description.

Cons

Like many large technology organizations, processes can sometimes be complex, and internal alignment across teams may take time. There are also opportunities to improve enablement, communication, and consistency around product packaging, roadmap visibility, and internal workflows.
