Pros

People are nice in general. Work time can be flexible if you are in R&D. West Coast casual, but IT best-in-class organization. It would be good if you are engineers.

Cons

Company keep buying small software companies; often organization change. Integration after the company purchase seems to be challenging to senior management; it is like different small companies among different product teams. The limit of number of vacation days is lower than average. Stock option availability to engineers (even if senior developers) seem to be limited.

Pros

Quest Software is a great place to work. The people are genuinely good people, very knowledgeable, and always willing to help. Quest is a strong environment if you enjoy solving complex technical problems, working with experienced teams, and helping customers address real business and security challenges. The company has a deep portfolio, talented employees, and many opportunities to collaborate across sales, presales, product management, engineering, and customer-facing teams. I also appreciate the flexibility, the trust given to senior employees, and the ability to contribute strategically beyond a narrow job description.

Cons

Like many large technology organizations, processes can sometimes be complex, and internal alignment across teams may take time. There are also opportunities to improve enablement, communication, and consistency around product packaging, roadmap visibility, and internal workflows.
