Pros

Management style is very supportive. Management's approach wasn’t adversarial in a sense that when things didn’t go the way we expected or planned, they didn’t try to point out things that we could have done different or better and blame us. Whenever anyone succeeded, our whole team congratulated the person that succeeded because we all know our roles are difficult and it all benefits us when the company succeeds and is profitable.

Cons

If you are in a sales position, the folks that have longer tenure "cherry pick" all the good accounts in your territory so it will be a really difficult grind to create new business.

Pros

Quest Software is a great place to work. The people are genuinely good people, very knowledgeable, and always willing to help. Quest is a strong environment if you enjoy solving complex technical problems, working with experienced teams, and helping customers address real business and security challenges. The company has a deep portfolio, talented employees, and many opportunities to collaborate across sales, presales, product management, engineering, and customer-facing teams. I also appreciate the flexibility, the trust given to senior employees, and the ability to contribute strategically beyond a narrow job description.

Cons

Like many large technology organizations, processes can sometimes be complex, and internal alignment across teams may take time. There are also opportunities to improve enablement, communication, and consistency around product packaging, roadmap visibility, and internal workflows.
