      Pros

      A great place to learn and are given autonomy to do your job once you have earned the trust of peers and management. My experience with recruiting staff was outstanding. Althought the offer did come as quickly as I expected, but the recruiter I worked with was very good in keeping me informed and returning my call and e mails. Compensation was more than fair, although not as much as I had asked in comp, but they did give me enough of an incentive financially to join accretive over other consulting companies. I did have competing offers from Huron and ACS.

      Cons

      As growing company, bound to experience some growing pains as they are developing procedures and protocol as a public company.

      Amazing work life balance and flexible hours with many projects to learn from

      No promotions, and the yearly pay increase is basically the inflation rate

      Pros

      The voluntary separation offer was good.

      Cons

      I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
