Pros

-As mentioned many times before, opportunities for career progression exist especially for younger staff -Head of Talent/Recruitment is great and there are some great VP's and potential leaders -Co-workers are hard-working and high energy -Rec cycle business model is sustainable for the time being but impact of reform and thinning of overall margins may change this -Compensation is good/slightly above average -Philanthropy and community involvement opportunities (golf, volunteer, etc) for co-worker social interaction

Cons

-Career advancement and progression only occur with the support of competent managers, mentors, and HR (which is non-existent at Accretive; most HR staff have no prior experience. Even the head of HR is constantly putting out fires instead of implementing talent and performance management or workforce planning -Recruiters have bad reputation and are known for being lazy in the industry and by peers. -Cherry picking of favorite employees and burn/churn of younger, cheaper staff (high turnover) -Many junior level employees are scared/intimidated of management -Intimidation by CEO (and family members/employees) and some of the VP's; unprofessional environment at times -Nepotism prevalent (fairly high percentage of employees with ties to CEO) -Does not always practice what it preaches and much disconnect throughout the company re: initiatives/progress/direction; still no protocol/procedure although claims to be a process-oriented company and reinventing of the wheel -Questionable ethics within leadership team -Official communication low, unofficial communication/gossip high

Pros

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Cons

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
