      Pros

      The staff was great. Travel was awsome. They provide you with a lab top ( outdated). Insurance is great and very low cost.

      Cons

      When hired from day 1 it was a lie. They hire to fill open roles for their needs, it doesnt matter if the person has the skill set or not. They make consession for certain employees. If you are not doing senior management work and not in a click, you will be on your way out. Watch who you befriend, because it's very cut throat.

      Amazing work life balance and flexible hours with many projects to learn from

      No promotions, and the yearly pay increase is basically the inflation rate

      Pros

      The voluntary separation offer was good.

      Cons

      I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
