Pros
It's a really good feeling to be part of a business that so many people know - and that has a meaningful impact in their lives, and the lives of their pets. Rover has a great work-life balance, but you're also working with intelligent people who take pride in their work. The business has a clear plan and some exciting stretch goals, so it's an exciting time to join - but they still really care about having a positive culture. People are friendly and always willing to help, and everyone I've worked with in the leadership team has taught me something. When I interviewed, the team was refreshingly honest about the company culture and challenges I could expect - and you're given a lot of trust to do your job well. The benefits are great (private medical insurance, pension and plenty of paid personal/family/pet-related leave days) and there are loads of perks too (work-from-home/wellness allowances, meal vouchers, in-office treats). We only need to be in the office twice a week...and you can bring your dog!
Cons
If you're looking for a fully remote role - you may not find it here. While there are some remote positions from time to time, most of the roles are hybrid, so expect to do two days a week in the office.
