Pros

I enjoyed being able to be remote and build a working relationship with my team that I supported

Cons

The HRES SR. Manager will micromanage you and will not properly train you or your team to properly do your job. They believe week is all the training you need. The system that the utilize it complex and their are several policies that can not be covered in 7 - 10 days. You will be scared to ask questions because the Sr. Manager will ask you what resource did you look at before you reached out for assistance. The manager/director lacks people skills and call center experience. They will tell you it’s like customer service when actually it is customer service assisting internal and third party customers. They do not have a quality team in place to properly monitor and grade calls which will reduce fraud and create training material if needed. You will not be paid additionally for being bilingual. They will ask you to do additional work for other departments and not pay you additionally and call it experience.

Pros

You get to work on real supply chain problems that actually matter to operations, not just theoretical stuff. Remote flexibility is solid and the work-life balance is fair. The tech stack is modern (Snowflake, Azure, Power BI) and if you're someone who takes initiative, you'll get the chance to own things end-to-end. The people you work with day-to-day are genuinely good and most teams have a collaborative culture.

Cons

Growth from senior level and beyond can be painfully slow even when you're clearly doing the work above your role. Leadership and org changes happen often which resets your visibility and momentum with whoever is advocating for you. Some areas still lack clear ownership so things fall through the cracks or land on whoever is willing to pick them up. Pay doesn't always reflect the scope of what you're actually doing.
