Pros
Provide a friendly and structured work environment for recent immigrants and young graduates. The routine and daily requirements change with seasonal layoffs and allows for a decent work-life balance when you get to transition temporary collect EI for a couple of months during the quiet season.
Cons
Poor future growth. Poverty Wages working in the City of Vancouver area. Wage increases are measured in pennies, not dollars. Lots of stress in middle-management due to mid-life crisis or lack of upward mobility or wage growth. Definitely a top-down management style with a focus on costs and liabilities.
