      safeway still has a pension, however in 2007, they used the excuse, of the drop in the stock market and overall financial climate in the U.S. at the time to cut in half the amount they contribute. They have never restored the full amount.

      Friendly and helpful colleagues, weekly pay and flexible schedule

      Cons

      When it is busy, it is very busy. Lunch/Break may get pushed back or even denied in extreme cases because there is no one to cover for you.
