Pros
Only pro you can have here is a good team (mostly), which was the only reason why I stayed for as long as I did (2y)
Cons
This could be the store I was at, poor management leads to a bad job but here a few things about working here from my experience. Flexible hours: I was in College with more than 4 class at a time. I was promised 20 hours max a week and ended up with 25 plus 3/4 weeks of the month a couple weeks later after I was promised that from the 30 hours a week, any shift I did for 7 months to only evenings 3 days a week. What happened after I changed my availability? I work 9 hour shifts 5 days a week and 2 whole days to maintain my 4.00 GPA. If it wasn't for my ambition I would have dropped out of school. Which is one of the most important things to me. Stress-free environment: We had horrible management exception for a few, there were better salespeople then managers. They would force all requirements on one the two salespeople that worked (unless the store manger was working there were only 3 people in the store, one up front, in the back and the lazy shift supervisor) I was in the back making every order, unless I begged for help, I had to get everything clean (Fryer, MTO coolers, tables, dishes, trash, etc), make sure prep sheets (Bread, Pre-portions and backups) were done for the following shift was done because if I didn't I would be screwed the next day when my shift came along, which even with that I still was. Benefits: Unless you average 16 hour a week, you get none. Even with that the health coverage is only eye and dental which coverage for annual so if you have a cavity or need new contacts or glasses good luck paying for it with 9.25 an hour. Not until 12 months after you are hired do you get personal days or vacation days. Tuition reimbursement is a joke, lol. It wouldn't even cover my books and a class. Pay: Lets just say this, I have a job now paying me 13.50 for something thats less mental, physical and emotional work combined than this place. Best part? NO FOOD. No poor management and disrespectful orders thrown in your face to be made alone. You think thats a good pay for that then your meant to be at Sheetz BEST PART: Why I am not here anymore? Actually not because of any of that, surprised? I thought I was working for a great company until I left and realized for myself its a joke. I was terminated while a hospital bed actually. I was sick since last August with a bacterial infection and doctors notes for every call of I had to make, which was a minimum of 8 hours before my shift. They put your life on a point system, at 7 points you are terminated. Well I was in the hospital for 2 weeks that last August which put my at 6 points, even though I had doctors notes. March 10th I went to the ER and was fired the following day. Best thing that ever happened to me. Thank you Sheetz, for doing the only good thing for the past 2 years of being there.
