Culture is one of the greatest appeal, as the people here are quite welcoming and there are minimal barriers across departments/ranks (excluding management of course) Work life balance is decent, of course sometimes OT is part of the job but which job does not have OT right?
Cons
Salary really needs to be better considered. Many employees consider Singtel as a place to "cruise", especially because people come here to retire. For the company to really position itself attractive to new talents, salary and overall benefits must not only match industry standards, but rather EXCEED expectations and spearhead competitors; for the company to have the "right" to choose its employees (rather than the other way around) This is one investment that will bring in higher than expected returns, because only when employees believe that the company is willing to "sacrifice" for them, will they begin to intrinsically sacrifice for the company (in areas of being more efficient, going above and beyond in their work, and contributing to the company's success). This is one area that only management can initiate, as the ball lies in their court
