Is this your company?

Good place to work if you don't want to move up, don't mind being disrespected, undermined and micromanaged. - Sales Lead Soma Intimates Employee Review

Pros

I love what I do, I love my customers and I have loved most of the co-workers I've had. You get a great discount at all four brands and we have contests where we can get a bigger discount every so often. New bra buy ins for employees are normally only $10! Training is very good but majority is done on the computer rather than hands on and at my location there's very little time to get new associates off the floor to watch the videos.

Cons

Sales Leads get no respect from upper management (dm & rm). Everyone talks about internal promotions but when it comes down to it, unless you can kiss up to the right person, they hire from the outside. Then they talk about development plans but there's never any follow through with them so you never go anywhere. You get paid very poorly and its not consistent for the same positions. Your associates and new hire leads can be making more hourly than you do when you're part of management and do just as much as the asm. The dm is too full of herself and will only notice you, make time for you, or even speak to you if you kiss up to her and feed into her ego. Oh and the "open door policy" is a joke! If you try to discuss an issue you have with your dm, you'll never get anywhere in the company. They don't like it when employees stand up for themselves or what they believe in. No morals or ethics at all!

Pros

I worked with a great management that was sensitive to family matters as long as you were responsible and accountable

Cons

They only con in any retail job is the countless hours spent straightening up clothes, which is the only thing that I got tired of

Pros

Decent pay with a good amount of hours that helped with paying for college classes. Management and coworkers were pretty friendly as well.

Cons

A lot of upselling and pushing out the company’s credit card for only a $5 incentive, it’s rare for a customer to actually say yes. Work/personal life balance was poor as well, despite having open availability to all times of the week except for two days, I was often scheduled around 2-3pm till close for several days in a week. It left me unable to do much outside of work because most things I wanted to do would have to either be earlier in the morning and can’t be too far of a travel, or would be closed by the time I got off. Other than that, the work was fairly easy and there was always something to do to kill the time on slow days.
