I have been working at Southwest Airlines full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

The healthcare and 401k matching are exceptional. The people make this company great. Excellent training opportunities. Profit sharing when applicable is wonderful. Salaries are competitive within Technology. Great culture and community give back events.

Cons

Single point failure for Roles on Technology Teams. "Good old Gal/Boy" network is king for promotions. Lack official flexible work arrangements. Annual increases are 1-2%. The list of cons is relatively short overall.

I worked at Southwest Airlines full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great company to grow your self

    Cons

Local trainer are non professional and misbehaving with OJT and trainers need training how to communicate . Mostly local trainers are only to gets bonuses and rewards for extra tickets. Dallas training college has good teachers and respect the new employees.

    Advice to Management

Please do not lose the new employees because of the local unprofessional trainers.
PLEASE COME OUTSIDE FROM YOUR COOLING OFFICE TO LOOK YOUR TRAINER HOW THEY COMMUNICATE AND PROVIDE THE TOOLS TO NEW HIRES.
IN EXPERIENCE TRAINER DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DEAL AND SOME ARE VERY GOOD BUT NO CHOICE AS NEW HIRE TO WORK WITH GOOD TRAINER.
I lost my career because of non professional trainers and still in debit for my aviation degree and did not completed because the local management broke my dream.
