Pros
Sport Clips is great if you're starting out and want to specialize in men's haircuts. SC claims to train, but they don't. It's more selling product and MVPs, not showing how to cut hair except in their terrible way. I would say start here, watch YouTube videos of reputable barbers & their techniques, and take continuing education classes to improve your skills.
Cons
Even though I was #1 at adding MVPs and Triple Plays, did well with product sales, team player, 2nd highest request rate... they said because I wasn't fast enough my hours needed to be cut. The people who did well on times had poor numbers and people unhappy with their haircuts. I averaged at 25 minutes, so it's not like I was taking an hour to cut hair like they made it sound. I was willing to work six days a week, except Sundays because of church. That was unacceptable to them. Even though they allowed other staff to not work weekends because they just didn't want to. The coaches are rude and act like Sport Clips should be our life *eyeroll* - no matter how much of a team player I was, it wasn't enough. Glad I quite that very toxic environment.
