I have been working at Sport Clips full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Everyone I work with including the management and owners really care about me. We are treated fairly and there is no better way to make money in this industry. Much better to make $5 tip on a 20 minute haircut then a $5 tip on a 2-hour foil. When all the clients are men they appreciate your advice on their hair and will trust you, it is very easy to sell retail and upgrade clients.

    Cons

Nights and weekends are required for full-time stylists, but that is when there are the most clients to make money, so not much of a con if you like to make money.

    Advice to Management

    Stay amazing!

I worked at Sport Clips part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

This location is laid back and flexible with scheduling. This was a great area as well. Good tips at this store.

    Cons

The usual drama that comes with working with a bunch of women. Other than that it was a pretty good experience

I worked at Sport Clips (More than a year)

    Pros

The pay was good we got an hourly pay plus a chance to make commission if we met retail goals. Tips were amazing. We were located in a upper class area so we would get a $20 tip on a $19 haircut frequently.

    Cons

They expect you to be pushy when it comes to retail and upsells. Retail was hard to sell to men. There is a lot of micro managing at the salon I was at. Lots of long hours with no breaks.

    Advice to Management

The five point play seems very salesly and fake. You should switch the uniforms to all black salon attire instead of those ugly shirts we have to pay for.

I have been working at Sport Clips full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great opportunity for growth, great people, great clients, great team leader

    Cons

listen360 is an extremely flawed and inaccurate system it does not accurately measure client satisfaction what-so-ever. Majority of the software we use is not user friendly, there is far too much room for human error. Things need to be automized more in order to avoid needless mistakes.

    Advice to Management

    We need an area manager

I have been working at Sport Clips full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Hours went up and down during season or I would of stayed forever instead of transferring to the new store in Warren. I have done men's hair longer than woman's! I love Mr. Gordon Logan's vision, value and mission statement! I also like making the guest feel like a champion! It's great to be a guy!

    Cons

Hours up and down, I drove an hour and approx 15 mins per day, I love the Company and this store I would of stayed! The Warren location is cold, manager brought her friends and never met the owner! For investing his money into a business and not getting both sides of the story is cruel!!! He is trusting his investment with a stranger that , anyway I love Hermitage and my goal is to one day go back!

    Advice to Management

In the Hermitage Store you are the true MVP's and great, awesome and talented team, manager and Owner!!!
