Pros

Medical insurance over and above your CTC Learning budget (although subject to perquisite tax)

Cons

It's an autocratic environment. I disagreed on a recent approach with CTO, ultimately he spinned things around and we had to do his way. Previously I disagreed on projects with CTO everytime he would force his way. Another colleague disagreed on project priority in the past, had similar experience. Then someone mentioned Glassdoor reviews in a recent team meeting and I could see its rather very common here at Springboard. All decision making, no matter how small like seating arrangements in new office to no matter how big like projects for the quarter or who gets the performance award or what you think about a particular situation concerning larger company, if the CTO is not happy with it, the directors along with CTO would go to extended lengths to turn it down and ultimately, you have no option but to obey. It's a mental harassment when you are asked to be creative, don't worry about hierarchy, be open about your thoughts but you eventually realize its all just hypocrisy to get talented peiple to work for you at reduced rates. Don't fall prey to this nonsense

Pros

As a career coach you manage your own schedule and have use of a variety of tools. There are weekly team meetings, the coaching team has versatile background so there is always someone who is an expert at something. The coaches support one another and truly want to ensure everyone is successful.

Cons

There is a disconnect with the onboarding/sales team who seem to say anything to get students to sign on the dotted line. Telling a person fresh out of high school or even college that they will find a position earning 90k plus is very damaging and sets unrealistic expectations. Many of the entry level students have never held a professional position and that is disheartening when a coach is level setting on what they will actually earn if a position is identified.
