I have been working at Springboard full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Engaging team members, awesome energy, and clear passion for the brand, all around! - Opportunity to take on stretch projects, both within your own department and cross-functionally - Feedback, suggestions, and ideas are always accepted, especially by senior leadership! - Clear visibility to performance, growth opportunities, and career trajectory - Professional development budget - extended both annually and monthly for different types of learning - Company adapted extremely well to COVID-19 and provided resources for a productive, collaborative, and supportive work from home environment

    Cons

    - Not necessarily a con, but a truth: it is truly an early-stage startup. While the team works between 9-5 daily, work does pop up outside of these hours, and is sometimes necessary to meet deadlines.

I have been working at Springboard full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Open, Honest and Humanness are not only some of the company values at Springboard, but also the words I would use to describe every single member on the team. You are always learning in this environment, have many opportunities to learn something new, jump on a passion project or bring your interests and ideas to your role. New ideas and how we can improve are welcomed from day 1!

    Cons

I have no cons at this time.

I have been working at Springboard full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The team is amazing, helpful and super dedicated. I like how everyone is aligned on our mission to transform lives through online education. I also like how I have a lot of autonomy in my role to innovate, test and scale ideas that work. Colleagues provide and solicit feedback all the time - it is a highly collaborative culture. Springboard actually offers a job-guarantee (full tuition refund if a student does not find a job), so stakes are high and the team wholeheartedly strives to improve the prospects of students landing a great job. Accelerating enrollments growth is also reassuring that Springboard has been successful from before I joined, so I feel really confident that Springboard will only continue to prosper.

    Cons

Processes evolve really quickly as we better understand our audience and market. This is more or less typical in a startup environment. Springboard's user base is also growing really quickly. These aren't cons - just not the best environment for you if you dislike frequent change or are inflexible.

    Pros

If you're looking for a company with great culture and kind colleagues, Springboard is the place for you. Leadership is humble and open to change. Everyone is a contributor and ideas are heard.

    Cons

Don't know if this qualifies as a con, but things move fast at Springboard. Be comfortable with putting in the hours and adapting quickly.

I have been working at Springboard part-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Programs result in sound outcomes - they are not just in the market to make a profit but genuinely care about students and the business side equally - Really kind, sound leaders - my manager, Patty never micromanages me and always tries her best to make our jobs easier and not more difficult (truly a blessing!) - Super flexible and perk of working remotely - a huge advantage when you are balancing multiple projects and even life goals

    Cons

    - If you are working as a consultant, students canceling calls can be a problem when it comes to managing your schedule and pay - Technology features that are ideal to integrate into products/systems take a long time to evolve as it's still a startup with limited capacity

We're so grateful for the coaching you provide to our students! It's clear that you bring a lot of passion and care to each conversation. We also really appreciate your feedback about how to improve various systems-- we'll pass your thoughts on to the relevant stakeholders to make sure they're heard. Also, we just wanted to clarify that you *are* compensated for any calls that students no-show and any last-minute reschedules or cancellations. -Springboard People Team

    Pros

Everyone at Springboard is mission-driven, supportive, challenging, and fun to be around. Springboard has a very flat structure, where everyone's ideas are valued and taken seriously. Work here is engaging and we focus on the most important problems and work.

    Cons

At any start-up there is often too much to do and sometimes is hard to control work-life balance

I have been working at Springboard full-time for more than a year

    Pros

To me, working at Springboard, in a nutshell, means: collaborating and growing alongside a competent, respectful, and values-aligned team. I joined when the team was 1/3 its current size. It’s been an intense and super rewarding journey, with lots of highlights: a team offsite abroad (and another one in a few weeks), "remote work weeks," a move out of WeWork to our very own office, a Series A raise, several new course launches, our first-ever user conference, celebrating Halloween and Friendsgiving, getting to speak live with the students and mentors who dial in to our all-hands meetings... What I love most about working here is: (1) I see our core company values in action on a daily basis: people care about our mission, about humanness and relationships, about their own learning and professional development, and about striving for excellence and taking ownership. (2) It’s not just the “highlights” above that I appreciate, but also the loud laughter at our team lunches, the hugs when someone gets back from vacation, the ridiculous Slack emojifests... Time flies when you’re having fun, they say! :-) One other point of pride and happiness for me is seeing so many women in key positions on the team. Not every company can boast that, even outside of tech.

    Cons

We’re an ambitious team that’s out to do good in the world *and* win in the marketplace... Plus, there are always more ideas than there is time... And the devil’s in the details. So net net, we have a high need for hustle and grit, which can sometimes mean a long workday (including calls with the other office in off-hours). Classic #startuplyfe! It helps to remind myself that this is a marathon, not a sprint, and to make sure to take downtime with family, friends, and activities when I need to get away from my computer (whether that's a couple of hours, or a few days, at a time)!
