Pros

I personally achieve a healthy work/life balance; the company offers good benefits and a reasonable amount of Paid Time Off. Remote work is supported and encouraged. There are endless opportunities for growth but you MUST be dedicated, focused and self-motivated. The company is dynamic, rated as a rising star company and ran by smart business people. This company is ethical and careful to stay in compliance; they encourage employees to be responsible for their own health and happiness, and the company provides ample opportunities and resources for the individual to do so. You will read reviews from people who just weren't a good fit for the company. I work with people in sales, operations (installation), and Project Management - I've never felt a stronger sense of camaraderie and job satisfaction than I do here at Sunrun.

Cons

Some of us do work long hours sometimes. It is never required and I am ALWAYS fairly compensated. The Customer Experience Surveys set up Project Managers to take the fall for sales not setting proper expectations or poorly executed operations performance. Sunrun is a Corporation: volume IS important and employees need to be mature enough to embrace that if we want to do well here. Some people who let their emotions get the best of them will find themselves laid off due to having a bad attitude. California's a real threat to residential solar. PG&E is THE WORST to have to deal with, which frustrates customers and Sunrunners alike.

Pros

There’s a clear sense of purpose in the product, since it connects directly to lowering energy costs and cleaner power in California. When conversations go well, you can see people move from uncertainty to interest pretty quickly, which makes the work feel meaningful in short bursts. The retail environment also builds strong communication skills fast.

Cons

The pace can be repetitive, with similar objections and explanations throughout the day, and performance is closely tied to metrics. Some days feel more like managing skepticism than having new conversations, which can be draining over time.
