I worked for Supermicro in the Netherlands, and my experience was extremely negative and emotionally damaging. I am writing this review so future employees know what I personally went through. After a short period of sick leave(4-days), my manager demanded that I show him my private medical insurance app on my phone as proof that I was sick. When I refused because this was clearly private medical information he said to me directly: “If you are not going to show me your medical insurance app, I will not extend your contract.” This moment left me shocked and deeply stressed. I felt pressured, intimidated, and completely unsupported. Instead of receiving basic understanding while I was sick, I experienced direct threats regarding my job security. The emotional impact of this situation was severe. I felt unsafe at work, constantly anxious, and deeply traumatized by the way I was treated. The work environment offered no support or protection, and the management’s behavior made me lose all trust in the company. In the end, my contract was not extended exactly as my manager warned me. This entire experience caused long-lasting stress, and I do not want anyone else to go through what I went through.
