Pros

If you are a fresher, the company is good to join. If you are smart and intelligent, the manager will select a good domain for you like E/M coding, if not you will be moved to radiology coding. Apart from this, there is nothing much.

Cons

Lot of small clients in Sutherland Medical coding in Hyderabad. Getting a good hike or promotion is very unlikely if you are stuck in small process due to bell curve. Coz of bell curve it is mandatory for each client to keep a bottom performer and a best performer. Remaining will be mid performers. Also coz of less employees, there is no leaves. We have to beg for it. And every week we have to extend and or work on all weekends. Don't expect personal life in this company. Company does not respect it. There is so much pressure on managers, they somehow do emotional blackmail to make us work on weekends and holidays. Also there is no chance of learning new specialty as there is less of new work to learn something new. Funny thing is that their employee surveys are fake.... we are 'taught' to give good ratings for each survey question. Salary is so low compared to market, but work is so high. No work-life balance. So many people have left sutherland medical coding in Hyderabad!!!

Pros

I worked with Sutherland for five years, and one of the main benefits was the ability to work from home. During my first campaign, the manager and certain account managers were great to work with—they listened, showed genuine concern for employees, and were supportive. Even when the company experienced cutbacks due to losing contracts, they often made an effort to transfer employees to other programs so they could remain employed.

Cons

Some individuals within the company can be difficult to work with at times. The pay is lower than expected for the workload, and raises during work anniversaries are often minimal or difficult to obtain. In some cases, increases may only be a few cents. Job security can also be uncertain due to contract changes, and positions are not always guaranteed long-term. Additionally, concerns raised by employees are not always addressed as effectively as they could be. Overall, I would consider working with the company again if needed, but I would view it more as a temporary job rather than a long-term career opportunity—it provides a paycheck, but may not offer strong growth or stability.
