    I worked at Sutherland full-time

    Pros

You get what you put into the job. So if you are someone just looking for a job, they do have those, but the more effort you put in the better opportunities there were. At least in my case.

    Cons

Some programs are turnover machines and some don't realize the amount of work that is required.

I have been working at Sutherland part-time

    Pros

Very good training, LOVED working at home and got the schedule I wanted. Received a bonus for working so many hours during peak season. Duties were fairly simple and not too crazy. Loved my managers when I first started. They were very helpful. Only left due to horrible auto accident I was involved in. Will be applying again.

    Cons

New managers were assigned to my team a few times and some of them lacked communication. Their client I worked for often did have long hours (10+ hrs) or days at a time with no time off were rough (I worked 10 day straight a couple of times during peak season). Otherwise, no real complaints.

    Advice to Management

Bonuses were nice but pay could be a little higher.

I worked at Sutherland full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Easy place to get into and is pretty much what you expect out of a call center. Its a job.

    Cons

Awful management and high turnover rate with very strict policies so you are constantly worried of if you will keep your job or not. The people there tend to not to be the best of people either so it just adds to the negative aspect of everything about the place. Overall way more bad things to say than good things about this place.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees better instead of like they can be replaced easily.

I worked at Sutherland full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Work is at times challenging but not totally stressful. Good coworkers, easy to get a job there. I was glad to get 5 years out of the company

    Cons

While it is their right to do so, Sutherland did not invest enough in the Syracuse location over the years. The Syracuse location had over 600 employees in 2013 and now it is just about closed. While I applaud the efforts to strengthen the Las Vegas and Houston locations in the U.S., I feel more could have been done to save all the jobs lost in Syracuse, especially for those who had been with the company 10-20 years.

Other cons: no room for advancement unless you're willing to uproot your family across the country or world. no 401k matching. Many times, it just felt like another job, no real difference making

    Advice to Management

Offer a market-competitive salary. In Syracuse - Sutherland was one of the lowest paying call center jobs. Do something tangible to entice people to stay with your company

    Pros

    Cons

low pay outsourcing company not enough training, very intense knowledge of tech support, got put out there too quick, no schedule flexibility, after maternity they did not allow a schedule change

    Advice to Management

Give a decent pay, cox pays way higher then 10.00 per hour, complex job needs complex training
