I worked at Sutherland full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Sutherland provides training, promotion from within the company, benefits, and opportunities to expand upon various career paths. Has a former employee at Sutherland, you have to have some experience doing customer service or technical support before you can become into a Team Lead position or move to a higher position. Employees are expected to work for a position - they don't just hand them out. This is also true for non Service Delivery (not on the phones) jobs.

    Cons

Understand that this is a call center company. Sutherland is not responsible for client requests, processes, and how things are requested to be done. Managers have to follow the clients procedures and micromanage them down to the individuals. Many employees come here just for the job, and their work and reviews show it. Additionally, many of the employees that come to Sutherland have dropped out of high school and don't have the concept of what is right and wrong. There was an employee who thought it was a good idea to take a pregnancy test in the female bathroom, then just leave it there.

    Advice to Management

Gain experience at Sutherland and move to a different company.

Call Center so you can usually get them to work around hours if there are other obligations. opened all day every day so can usually get a schedule that works for you

    Cons

Management could be better. work culture seems fake and not some place I would want to work long term.

    Pros

Sutherland global services was a decent company to work at due to the fact that they were always trying to show their appreciation to their employees as well as offer them a fun work environment. Many of the management staff are wonderful people to know both professionally and personally.

    Cons

Sutherland global does not have the best reputation for paying their employees very well. They also do not have the best communication established between its employees and the Human Resources department. The rules and expectations vary between client teams while still having them operate in almost the same space as one another and that has the potential to create a riff.

    Advice to Management

I would only advise management to re-evaluate the communication system and offer more considerable wage increases annually based on individual performance.

    Cons

    Advice to Management

Pay people a liveable wage and maybe consider hiring management who care about people, and not just their checks.

    Pros

Mid level management is good. They work with you on schedule.

    Cons

Pay is not great, not much room for advancement and healthcare is too expensive for what they pay you.

I worked at Sutherland full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

1 Hour long lunch and can leave,
    Vending machines everywhere,
If you work for the right program you can work 9-5 with weekends off

    Cons

Low pay for high stress work,
Can't have cell phone on you even if it's turned off, no free cafeteria, parking is far from entrance, have to use a badge to go in and out of every single door, unprofessional disorganized management and strict rules and policy changes everyday makes it easy too get fired quick

    Advice to Management

don't set up such a fake work environment and tell people that you really care about them and that their employees are an investment when you fire and hire people everyday.
