Pros

if you're someone who wants to put his foot on the door in the rolling stock industry, then it's not the worst place to start, however, you don't want to stay for long in this position despite some pros (overtime compensation), you can go faster to become a team leader ($27-$31) as most of the operators usually have degrees and move on to better jobs. opportunities to work with Alstom are around the corner but management and environment make it very hard

Cons

Hate to say it, but most staff are from one specific country (yes you know what I'm talking about) communication is not the best if you only speak English management is the worst here, pushing papers and having no actual plan to fix the issue. no regard for their employees. they want you to work until you drop ( 12hrs shift, sometimes for 6 days a week, days/nights). and if you say no you're not a good employee. don't expect to get promoted night shifts are mandatory if something goes wrong, operators are the 1st ones to blame regardless of the issue. they hire engineers and technologists who don't have a permanent residence so they can use them as they want. most operators leave after 6-8 months because they're overqualified for this job and then 2 or 3 people left to do a 6 people's job for god knows how long. overall, get your feet in the door if you don't have a better job offer. try to get another role from there or find a better job somewhere else (the environment is kinda toxic)

Pros

I was employed two weeks.

Cons

Everything I was told to get me to drop life and head halfway across the continent was a lie. The job duties were supervisory, but I was immediately deskilled to technician, then within two weeks I was liquidated. My job duties were lies. The duration of my contract were lies. The possibility of other contracts after this first one ended were lies. I knew I was only a temporary worker, but this was absolutely unconscionable
