Pros
- Great location - Great people (for the most part) - New office - Great work/life balance - Flexible hours
Cons
This company is not worth working for. Approach it only if you are absolutely desperate for work. The company completely misunderstands the concept of integrity vis-à-vis truth. The two go hand-in-hand if a successful and profitable enterprise is to flourish. Dishonesty is rampant here and breeds lack of trust among employees towards company leadership. The company makes a habit of sugar-coating reality when in fact it is anything but rosy here. Employees are suckered into believing the fairytale that all ends well when in fact the fairytale is a poorly written story that ends abysmally for many, many employees who have felt the sting of layoffs and firings. Many others over the years were smart enough to bail out on their own when they realised this ship aint going nowhere anytime soon, except perhaps to flounder some more. As other reviewers have pointed out, foul language is completely acceptable here and, in fact, seen as banter among colleagues. Newsflash - it's not; it's offensive to most people. Every few months, there is a fresh round of layoffs in the name of "trimming the fat" to create a lean, slick organization. Many colleagues become friends over time and to see the horror and pain on their faces as they carry their small cardboard box with their belongings and escorted to the front door and out of the building is heartbreaking to watch. Those left behind fear the guillotine will come down on their necks when the company is passed along like a broken doll from investment firm to investment firm to fix and make it all look good again. This company has been around for a good number of years yet it cannot financially sustain itself without investor backing. Why? The products are not good in comparison to what the best-of-the-best in the industry are creating. This company attempts to play it big when in fact it's small fry in a big pond of more aggressive players with much better product offerings. When you are bleeding skills, talent, smarts and good people over the years, not only does the company's reputation suffer greatly, but so too does its people who are left to steer a ship that doesn't seem to want to lift anchor and sail off to calmer waters.
