Pros

Peers are some of the best colleagues I have worked with - kind, respectful, hardworking, smart.

Cons

What a disappointment. For a company that touts the importance of mental health, wellness, and giving back to the community, it’s unfortunate that they don’t lead their teams with the same focus and compassion. Depending on the team you are on, you were likely hired as a remote employee, but TOMS is now requiring remote employees to come onsite weekly, monthly, or quarterly at the employee’s expense. This rule and mandate applies to all levels of employees. In other words, entry level or middle management employees are paying $300+ a night on hotels and hundreds of dollars on gas / plane tickets, etc to comply. Executive leadership might be able to afford this, but most employees can’t. This burden adds undue stress financially and mentally. Meaning, employees are fearful of losing their jobs if the don’t take on the financial burden. This is also reinforced by a bully / intimidation leadership approach that exists within some teams. Employees are afraid to speak up to leaders, as they will be in their line of fire in a private or public forum.

Pros

Limited opportunities for career growth. Work hours can vary depending on business needs and seasonal demand.

Cons

Provide clearer career development paths and improve communication between management and employees. More consistent scheduling would also be appreciated.
