Pros

Target has really stepped up its game when it comes to putting technology in the forefront. We're doing a good job at keeping up with the latest technologies while not creating too much churn. Work-life balance is outstanding. It's very rare if I work more than 40 hours a week. Benefits are average for a large corporation - good enough.

Cons

Like any big company, it sometimes feels like your hard work isn't always recognized financially. Management tells us HR is making changes to enable smaller incremental increases more often, but I have yet to see that in practice. Big picture life is good, but day-to-day can be frustrating at times if you're someone who wants things done the right way. Some developers only do what it takes to make it work.

Pros

If you are looking for a job that you’ll be a part of a fun team environment, have the ability to learn all about customer “guest” service, retail operations and sales, as well as merchandising even at entry level great opportunity. for such a large corporation I have been pleasantly surprised by how tight knit teams are. applying was okay, there were multiple steps (videos, assessments) but overall not too bad)., phone call and then video questions before hiring.

Cons

Pay isn’t great, but for the market it’s fair. Moving up involves a much larger increase in responsibilities and workload relative to the pay increase.
