Pros

Diversity and inclusivity, uniforms if you're into that, competitive benefits package if you can get 40 hours a week which seems to be challenging if you're not in any mgt/lead position.

Cons

Inconsistency from corporate values and direction with management. Run more like a work camp. Very little empowerment for employees. Strong focus on micromanagement. It seemed that leaders were chosen for that ability more than any other ability. Scarce training which left many team members floundering and frustrated. Unrealistic expectations. Notorious for cutting hours of team members who relied on their income to support their families, pay their bills. Team members seemed to be treated more like numbers than people. I've heard that Target did not used to be this way and this is a result of the modernization roll-out. Discount is absurdly low in comparison with so many other employee discounts. 10%. Management seemed very concerned with a stringent set of rules than actually effectively training members and servicing customers. Coverage of the floor to actually assist customers was not considered an priority. I can honestly say this is one of the worst places I've ever worked.
