Pros

-Guaranteed 37.5 hours a week contract -Progression is possible but difficult depending on location it seems -Plenty of overtime available if you want -Great training staff and who are understanding and give you time to settle into the job -Premium pay on weekends and bank holidays -Good benefits and holidays -Payday is every 4 weeks so you get 13 paydays in a year -26 week rota given so can book holidays well in advance as you can see what your working -I calculated my salary using my basic rate (£11/hour with 25% weekend premium and 50% bank holiday premium applied as well as some overtime but I don’t work that much as it’s completely optional)

Cons

-Performance is tracked and must be hitting 92% by the end of the 8 week probationary period though support is given throughout to help you get to this point -The Tesco work week starts on a Sunday so this can take time to get used to -Picking can be boring but is a fairly straightforward job -Experience can vary depending on who is your manager as some are a lot worse than others (a LOT worse) -No uniform until probation is passed
