Pros
Getting to be a part of the process of building tesla vehicles was the best part of working at the factory. Seeing everything put together and ensuring that the best was going out the door was what I loved about the job. It gave me purpose.
Cons
The word amongst all employees is change. Everything changed all the time. From managers, supervisors, to roles, and departments, to where you were placed one month from the next, all the way to showing up to work not knowing if you had a job or not, or maybe not seeing someone anymore that you worked with. You never knew what was going to change next. When you sign the contracts of employment, you sign and agree that you can be placed in any department, role, day, or night shift as the company needs arise. Regardless of the role you applied for, you could end up anywhere, and having to pivot and learn something new on the fly was chaotic. In the span of a year and a half working there, I saw 5 departments and more roles than that. Change is the name of the game.
