Pros

My co-workers were the only thing that got me through this job. Genuinely some of the best people I have ever met. They kept me sane through my time there.

Cons

-Management loves to understaff (or can't keep them because they treat them horribly) and then sit in their offices upstairs and never help. This might have also just been the location I was at in OR. -Specially the visual merchandising team is extremely overwhelmed with the workload. But are always the first ones to cover the register for 3+ hours. Then management will be upset when tasks and not completed. -You are expected to have complete availability and can make no changes. There is no consideration toward the employee and their life outside work. -After a year of being short-staffed and overworked they gave out a letter saying we would have layoffs. And that no one would be getting a raise BUT management would be getting their bonuses at the end of the year. -There is no room for growth within the store I worked at. They refuse to be higher up within the store they will always be higher outside the company. Then ask other employees to train the new hire. -They show you a video at the beginning of your first day asking you to no build a union. Giving out false information about unions and how they help workers. That should tell you a lot about the company...

Pros

Everyone from director level on down in my department was great. Very collaborative. Gave you autonomy to do and try new things.

Cons

Where do I start…Sr. Leadership is TERRIBLE. I mean absolutely horrific. No direction and plans were changing at the drop of a dime after the BB&B “merger”. You could feel the shift in the culture, just NASTY attitudes and taking the employees for granted. The new CEO and the rest of Sr. level execs acted like everyone was just expendable workhorses. They touted reopening the headquarters cafe as some awesome benefit so they could bring people back to the office full time. If you’re going to be bullish and require everyone back, have some guts and just do it. But don’t act like a cafe is some life changing benefit to get everyone excited. Anyway, blind leading the blind. The merit increase or raises - non existent. No 401k match. Nothing positive because the company is so broke. The new store concept sounds a mess. Save yourself and don’t even apply, let alone accept an offer. Joel Bines is no longer the CEO. He was a great guy and I think he had great ideas. Marcus Lemonis is the new CEO and I would give him a thumbs down.
