Pros

Ability to work remotely in most cases.

Cons

Poor work/life balance. Lack of diversity in Howell office despite the posts you see on social media. Compensation is extremely poor compared to competitors when you take bonuses and the cost of benefits into account. Employee turnover is very high in underwriting, and no one seems to grasp that it’s an actual issue (and the resulting poor service is a major frustration for agencies). Little to no yearly raises depending on business unit. Hanover will burn you out quickly, and many employees stay because they think it’s the job that is stressful. It’s not until you leave and go elsewhere that you realize it doesn’t have to be that way. I gained a lot of knowledge and experience working for Hanover, and I’m grateful for that, but leaving was the best decision I ever made.

Pros

Good pay, polite, and environment for advancement

Cons

Goals are very un reasonable. They will work you to death. Extremist left wing values are constantly in your face here. Straight and Christian hate are inter woven in all of their policies and speeches etc. As a life long Democrat I even find it distasteful and inappropriate.
