Pros

The Hartford is a well known brand to consumers as well as a well known company for employees who thrive in a team environment, yet are self motivated and not micro managed. The consumer awareness helps sales, the firm provides decent resources to its employees. You never have to worry about access to the executive suite, the door is open.

Cons

Because the Financial Industry has undergone 'disruption' The Hartford needs to do a better job positioning themselves for the new on demand economy. However, it is tempting to focus on their bread and butter as 10k retire daily. A more informed focus on 40 under is needed. The Xennial Generation is under represented.

Pros

You have a job Remote

Cons

Micromanaging Managers being promoted from departments that have nothing to do with the new department they’re managing Under a microscope for every little thing. Training doesn’t teach you anything you actually need to work Management doesn’t know and puts it on you to figure out Pissed out employees day and night. Hard working employees punished for slackers Slackers kissing boots so overlooked by management The pay compared to the work is mediocre Quarterly meetings to say how great the company is doing and greasing CEOs pockets meanwhile the bonuses are mid and locality pay isn’t offered There’s no consistency amongst leadership. One leader says one thing the next another which equals write ups.
