Pros

I’m not homeless thanks to my way-below-market-value hourly paycheck. I’ve made a few great friends.

Cons

TCS’s main job function as a company is to send out junk mail. Really exciting! The work is not interesting and unrewarding. Don’t let the company fool you, the Marketing Specialist position is only a data-entry position and no marketing is involved whatsoever. Management’s idea of “room for growth” is waiting at least 7-8 years to be promoted with a 6% pay raise. We went from having a very flexible schedule as salaried employees to having a stringent hourly schedule. You have to record every single thing that you do. The training program is absolutely useless. Nobody in the department has any excitement about their job. The work culture is drab and lame. Last year 13 people left the department and none of the positions were replaced. It’s a major warning sign when there are only new employees (3 years and under) and veteran employees (10 years or more). Why aren’t new hires staying for more than 3 years? Because this place absolutely sucks!

Pros

Some of the best reasons? The co-workers were great. Unfortunately, management saw conversations between co-workers as detrimental to success and production, often questioning what was going on.

Cons

Pisspoor management. They would hawk the time clock, and there was zero leniency for being a minute or two late.
