Pros

Easy access from Sam Houston Pkwy feeder (beltway 8 & Clay Rd), free parking space, easily make $180 for a Sat and Sun shift, a very diverse environment, you can listen to music with your headphones, lots of hours! Get paid every Friday. It’s a Temporary Job.

Cons

You work long hours, it gets boring staring at the license plates all day especially when you have to make out the letters and numbers from the screen, you have to type fast to be able to receive the bonus. You use outdated software, old equipments, and if you sit by the breakroom and bathrooms you will constantly inhale the chemicals that the maintenance lady often use to clean. It’s not easy to work extra hours because the seats gets filled up quickly. The seating is first come first serve if not working during your assigned shift. It’s a temporary job.

Pros

Working at TransCore offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative congestion pricing and tolling technology solutions that have a real impact on communities. Employees can gain valuable experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects, collaborate with skilled professionals, and develop their careers in a technology-driven environment.

Cons

Pay and benefits could be better, in particular would like more vacation time. Conflicting priorities and sometimes the plan keeps changing making it hard to complete tasks on time.
