Pros
Troy is a worldwide specialty chemical company. It is a stable and growing company. My position allows me to interact with colleagues around the world. This makes for an interesting and satisfying work experience. Projects are diverse and teamwork is encouraged. It is a professional yet friendly work environment. Management has always provided our department with the most updated tools i.e. software and equipment to get the job done. And, I have always felt that upper management / owners have supported our efforts. With that being said, we are expected to perform and finish projects on a timely basis... but I see it as holding up my end of the bargain. There is also a good ratio of long timers to new-comers, and it is nice to see many younger employees joining our ranks. I also feel that the level of knowledgeable people here at Troy is high and it is pleasure to work with them.
Cons
Our project list is extensive, which often means moving from one project to another quickly. It also means multi- tasking to meet deadlines. Unfortunately, working from home is strongly discouraged because management believes in face - to - face interaction.
