Pros

There is nothing really pro about this company.

Cons

If you value career growth, employee well-being, or basic professional respect, think twice before joining. There are deep structural and management issues here that leadership either doesn’t see or simply chooses to ignore. 1. HR support is almost non-existent. Most queries are answered with “read the policy” instead of actual guidance or employee support. Employees are left to figure everything out on their own. 2. Hikes and promotions are endlessly delayed. Managers keep saying “next quarter,” but nothing ever changes. There is no transparency, ownership, or genuine effort to reward performance. 3. Leadership appears only when it’s time to take credit. During difficult project phases, they are nowhere to be seen. Once a project succeeds, suddenly leadership becomes visible and acts as if they drove the entire success. 4. Project management is heavily micromanaged. Constant pings, unnecessary follow-ups, and excessive meetings create more stress than productivity. In many cases, lead developers handle actual client communication while managers merely schedule calls and monitor employees. 5. Appreciation exists only in emails and speeches, not in compensation or career growth. Employees are expected to feel motivated by words while real recognition never comes. 6. Despite constantly talking about innovation and AI, employees are not even provided basic AI tools or subscriptions unless a client specifically funds them. 7. The company offers almost no meaningful employee benefits. No food, no coffee, no transportation support — yet attendance tracking and office swipe policies are treated with school-level strictness. 8. The “talent pool” system is one of the worst experiences here. Employees on the bench are made to feel insecure about their jobs and are sometimes indirectly pressured to resign if projects are unavailable. Instead of questioning business failures in acquiring projects, the burden is pushed onto employees. 9. Senior leadership visits occasionally, gives generic talks about AI, growth, and vision, and disappears for the rest of the year. There is little connection with the actual struggles employees face daily. 10. Work culture is toxic in many teams. Some managers treat employees like resources instead of human beings. Respect, empathy, and healthy communication are often missing. 11. Overtime and weekend work are normalized. Unrealistic deadlines destroy work-life balance and affect employees’ mental peace, yet this is treated as “part of the job.” Overall, this company talks a lot about people, culture, and innovation, but the day-to-day employee experience says otherwise. Many talented employees leave not because of the work itself, but because of poor management, lack of recognition, and constant pressure.

Pros

I have been associated with UST for almost 12 years, starting my journey as a Tester and currently serving as a Senior Project Manager. Looking back, the growth opportunities provided by the organization have been remarkable. One of the biggest strengths of UST is its people-first culture. The leadership team is approachable, supportive, and genuinely invested in employee success. Throughout my career, I have received continuous encouragement to take on new responsibilities, learn new skills, and move into leadership roles. The company places significant emphasis on employee well-being, work-life balance, and professional development. I have had opportunities to work across different domains, engage with global clients, and grow both technically and managerially. What makes UST special is the trust it places in its employees and the collaborative culture that exists across teams. It’s a place where dedication and performance are recognized, and individuals are given opportunities to shape their own career paths

Cons

As with any large organization, some processes could be streamlined for faster decision-making.
