Pros

• Well looked after, free cold food all year round, free hot over winter • Subsidised travel, gym memberships, private healthcare, etc - loads of perks • Company funded social events • Wellbeing ambassadors, cosy kitchens, breakout areas, semi-private spaces and meeting rooms • Hybrid working style with no fixed pattern but heading to a mandatory but flexible 8 days • per month in the studios • No crunch • Super discounted games orders • Well structured, generally well organised, with good & fair career progression structure • Friendly atmosphere • Can simply request to transfer between Leamington and Newcastle as your home studio • Can internally apply for other jobs in Ubisoft worldwide • A mix of big project work and tech teams available to join (though the latter mostly restricted to programmers) • Occasional travel between two studios (though definitely less of this lately)

Cons

• Experiences vary between teams and projects! I seem to be in one of the better teams. • Average pay • Not offering full-time remote working (in case that's what you're looking for) apart from exceptional cases (ie they are desperate) • Despite great improvements in communication, can still be a lack of clarity on certain subjects (especially pay and higher career development) • Staff turnover currently a little high, struggling to retain staff, but without greater industry context I don't know if this is Ubi specific or currently an industry wide issue while people settle after Covid (and the plethora of fully-remote roles now available). • Projects developed using a lot of co-dev with other studios reduces human interaction, team feel, plus different time zones reduce window of communication • Bonus scheme linked to company profitability is understandable but the past couple of years have not been so great, so reduced or no bonuses being paid out

Pros

Remote work, free games. Good co-workers.

Cons

Horrendous pay, expectations of work absolutely unreasonable. Turnover rate pretty high, and instead of hiring new employees, just had the remaining team take over the work that required like 10+ employees. Then after requiring 200% productivity to make up for the lack of a team, complained about teams.
