Pros

Benefits, vacations, technology, friendly coworkers, learning opportunities, work autonomy, summer afternoons off, work parties and events

Cons

Concerns Regarding Leadership, Decision-Making, and Workplace Policies The current state of leadership, decision-making, and workplace policies raises serious concerns. Poor management practices and ineffective leadership are impacting the company’s ability to succeed in a highly competitive and saturated market. The company’s focus on producing generic AAA games is unsustainable. To remain competitive, we need to prioritize creating standout titles like Ghost of Tsushima, Zelda, God of War, Elden Ring, Baldur’s Gate or Astro Bot. Alternatively, we could pivot toward developing innovative indie games that emphasize passion and creativity rather than pure profit. The growing recognition of indie titles at major events, such as The Game Awards, highlights a clear shift in market trends. Indie games are increasingly celebrated for their creativity, often outperforming AAA titles in critical acclaim. Additionally, the return-to-office mandate has been deeply troubling. Forcing employees, particularly those hired as fully remote workers, to comply with this policy without offering viable alternatives or adequate support feels like an indirect mass layoff. This approach lacks empathy and fairness, leaving employees feeling undervalued and disrespected. I urge the leadership team to reconsider these strategies and align with the evolving demands of the gaming industry and workforce expectations.

Pros

Remote work, free games. Good co-workers.

Cons

Horrendous pay, expectations of work absolutely unreasonable. Turnover rate pretty high, and instead of hiring new employees, just had the remaining team take over the work that required like 10+ employees. Then after requiring 200% productivity to make up for the lack of a team, complained about teams.
