1) the company applies a hidden agenda where it in 90% of cases only promotes people who have started their career at Unilever as trainees. All other employes that have been hired have a difficult time to have a succesful career and rise in the ranks at the company. Believe me, i have been working there several years. trainess rise fast through the ranks and when they are high in rank, they more or less only promotes new trainees. it is basically a closed group even though this is not the companies offical ways of working which is communicated internally or externally.
2) There is a very high turnover of employees (which basically only consists of employees that did not start as trainees).
3) low pay & work hours is very long. many people in the company works very very long hours every day. you do not get compansated for extra hours worked. you are paid for 7,5hours per day even if the average workhours is more in line with 11 hours per day.
