Pros

I love the culture - it is delivery focused wihtout losing the personal touch. The cmapus has been redeveloped in 2008 and it is really excellent - bright, open and helps to create an environment where I can interact with my colleagues and friends. One of the reasons I joined Unilever was the brands - everything from Dove to Hellmanns, Ben & Jerry to Bertolli - seeing brands you work with day in day out on the shelves is a ral buzz!

Cons

Unilever? Not many downsides - the biggest one is the industry we are in CPG is a VERY tight sector so think most of the companies are similar.

Under resourced and underpaid for the skills I bring to the table, which contributes to retention issues

Pros

Working with brands you grew up with is really exciting! The people I have met have all been amazing as well!

Cons

Everyone I have talked to are overworked and feel underpaid and despite the amount of work they do, there is no recognition or appreciation. Upper management is a mess and UL is constantly restructuring, often going from new BACK to the old structure while simultaneously letting people go leaving more people overworked. While most people are amazing, there are a few micromanagers where expectations are unknown. In addition, the lack of communication is awful. Often, I hear about certain cuts through the vine rather than directly from the people involved
