Pros

Training and possibility to move to Volvo trucks and other Volvo business units

Cons

1. Management is too slow to react on things. No stability for workers. Layoffs are common but only for workers and lower level staff. 2. More focus on politics and maintaining friendships than keeping talent. 3. Almost all the product are in loss. Every machine they build losses ~50% money since 3 years. Management just started to react now to make it profitable by laying off good workers. 4. Too many incompetent managers who has no idea about technology, business needs. It is always one way communication where manager is asking to do, improve process/product to workers but does not provide any mentoring, support and guide employees towards success. No accountability for missing targets, schedule. It looks like managers have lot of book knowledge but lacking in real world knowledge. 5. Management is slave to people in Sweden. Sweden runs a tight ship and unfortunately other locations are getting affected. They implement systems which works for them in Sweden but fails in Americas. Unfortunately Americas gets stuck with these processes which creates waste and adds frustrations. 6. HR is incompetent and does not know how to keep talented employees.

Pros

Really inclusive environment and most of campus is already with ABW - activity based workplace (flexible seating).

Cons

Sometimes due to the very inclusive environment, decisions can take a little longer.

Pros

Great team of colleagues. Employee who are focused on ensuring their best. Excellent collaboration between teams. Colleagues who will look past the negative culture and continue to do their best for the company.

Cons

Culture & HR team who are clueless about global teams and work strategies. Focus on how many days and hours are spent in the office, rather than quality of work delivered. "You are being tracked by HR" has become the new way of life with the new culture. Total lack of communication after announcing job cuts are coming, due to awful truck sales and loss of market share in USA. Heavily bloated VP structure.
