Pros

Full time employment. 15/13 roster. Accommodation provided.

Cons

Travel to and from work in your own time (drive approx 6hrs to base) then be expected to be fit for work. No compensation for travel. No training. You are expected to know everything with no or minimal training. Go out and work and do as the other guy does is how it works. No continual development, no continual updates of policies etc. Bad pay for the position, below industry standard. No annual leave to be taken, need to get opposite number to cover if one wants more time off. Then you owe time back. No support or very minimal and still expected to get the job and repairs done with no money or anything else available at short hand.
