It's a good part time job. But if you're young don't get stuck working full time and losing your goals. - Crew Trainer Wendy's Employee Review

Pros

1.You get 50% off food 2.There's usually a couple kick ass people to work with 3.Free food if you get employee of the month 4.WOW cards which equal a free meal if you do something awesome 5.They are usually pretty good at giving you the schedule you need. Granted they forget the hours/days you can work and you have to remind them constantly. 6. It's pretty much impossible to get fired unless you sexually harass someone 7. There are always extra hours to pick up due to people calling out, being busy or those not wanting to finish their shift.

Cons

1.A lot of management-mainly store or assistant manager- will treat you like a blatant idiot. They only point out the negative and there will be times you or someone you know will get screamed at for something ridiculous. 2.There were multiple times peoples pay checks didn't add up correctly. Very rarely will you get overtime and if you do make sure you get the pay. 3,They won't fire anyone and there is always that one bat crazy bipolar employee that hardly works and gets paid the same as you. It's frustrating. 4.You're treated like a slave and don't even get free food. The 50% off applies to breaks and 30 minutes before/after your shift. 5,It has a way of sucking you in and making you feel stuck. A lot of employees are awesome smart people who are depressed because they don't know how to get out of fast food. 6.You end up having to clean the grossest things. Pee on the floor, poop on the walls, heroine needles on the counters, scraping gum off the parking lot etc. You do not get paid enough for that. 7. Don't get into a habit of going above and beyond or picking up extra shifts etc. Just do your job, they don't pay you enough to do more than that. After awhile if you don't want to work an extra shift or stop doing other peoples work they will get mad at you. There was a period of time i only did my responsibilities and instead of telling people who were standing around talking/texting to work. I would get yelled at. They would get mad i didn't want to come in early or on my days off. 8.After awhile the idiot questions customers ask get to you. It's expected to have rude customers when you get the job but it really wears on you after awhile. Especially when people scream at or throw stuff at you. It's almost always the customers fault minus food freshness. 9.You get one raise a year, if you're lucky it's 20 cents. They say they're opportunities to move up but there isn't. The location I worked at was extremely understaffed in management and wouldn't hire or promote anyone to shift supervisor. There were at least 4 people who wanted to move up and would have been adequate at the job. 10.They don't put money into fixing your restaurant. You have to do monthly safety audits to check for broken wires, tiles, protection equipment etc. We had multiple broken tires, our oven mitts were worn to the point they didn't protect your hands and the wheels to the mop bucket were missing. our drive thru timer was broken. Our DM even came in and cut the wires of the DT timer in hopes to get it fixed faster. It was still broken when i quit....5 mos later. Floor tiles were never fixed in the 3 yrs i worked there, they said the mop bucket worked fine even though it would spill at the slightest touch because it was unbalanced. We did get oven mitts though. 11.It's rare that you get off at the time your scheduled. The managers didn't prioritize well and if you were on a register expect to get off 15+ minutes late, if there were no customers. 12.The managers who were fair, helpful and cared about their employees got the least amount recognition and often got in trouble for not being harder. 13.I had a pregnant manager who worked up until she was due, literally worked a 10 hr shift and went to give birth to her son after. The store manager was pissed she couldn't come to work the next day. 14.One of my coworkers got into a car accident and even had doctors notes and proof she was injured. The DM said she was lying and harassed The person saying he/she just wanted the weekend off.

Pros

Half off food off and some managers are good.

Cons

They don't give you free meals. For one station they expect you to be at two stations at once both putting in orders and cleaning dishes instead of having one person do one at a time. The female managers can be a bunch of drama queens especially the store manager. Managers sent me home early and I was always the one sent home early even though I was always sent home early. For the store manager if you make any mistakes she will make a big deal about it. They expect you to know how to do a station perfectly even though they only showed you how to do it once and you are pretty much on your own from there and will be viewed as incompetent if you don't get it right away. Reduced my hours without telling me and also sending me home without a explanation for both hours and sending me home. There is no consistent pay day so depending on your bank you will get your money at different times compared to your co-workers. I did not have this problem for McDonald's For a job while in school do not work here unless you have no other options for employment. In some cases it is better to be unemployed and look to work for other companies then deal with this excessive level of nonsense and there are some other stuff I have not mentioned but I don't want to drag it out. The only reason why I rate this 2 stars instead of 1 is because at least to my knowledge they did not do anything illegal.
