Pros

In store co-workers and *some* managers. Super nice, friendly people. Some of the best people I’ve ever met. Miss them. Wish them all the best.

Cons

Micro management to the extreme. Everything is labeled. There is no freedom to be/get creative. Regional Team is beyond disrespectful. They will degrade you, everything you do is not the way “Zara” does it therefore it is wrong. HR only exists to protect the company not the employees. My store manager was the nicest manager I had ever worked for and got fired for god knows what reason (I promise you, there was none.) They used to come in on their days off to make sure the store was running how it should. When there were other managers that needed to be fired, HR did nothing about them. Makes sense right? Pay is nothing compared to what you have to deal with. Pay attention to the hours you work and how much you end up getting paid... I promise you one day they won’t match. Company does short you if you don’t pay attention. Salaried workers are worked to death and taken advantage of (all manager and supervisors are salaried) Highly competitive. This just wasn’t my personal style but I understand if some people are into this. I wanted to be friendly with everyone not try to be better than everyone. Stressful. You have so much on your plate to do every single day and not enough hours. You don’t have any help because everyone has a list of their own stuff they need to do. Yet if a task needs to be done and is not it goes back on you. Used to call my trainer for advice and help only for them to not answer the phone. When they would, they used to make me feel dumb for whatever question I asked. Ugly uniforms. My pants tore at private areas multiple times. They refused to give me another pair. Told me I was not taking care of it properly. Training doesn’t exist in any other form other than making you feel stupid for not already knowing how Zara works. You’re thrown in and watched to see if you’ll survive. Clothes are expensive, but cheap. The prices are high and clothes would tear easily. 25% discount for employees. I just hope someone reads this and saves themselves. I didn’t spend much time at Zara but the time I did spend there made me feel very insecure, alone, and stupid. I witness at least 1 person crying every time I went in. Maybe part time people had it easier, but from talking to some it seemed they were going through their own struggles too.

Pros

The coworkers are the best. This is for the North Star location

Cons

Management. There is clearly favoritism. They don't want to help, they will yell at you and ask why aren't you moving fast enough. The GM doesn't do anything. Her only job is to "talk to the higher ups." She will yell at you if you speak Spanish and say English only. If you ever had an interview here some of you were judge by the way you looked. Quote from one of the managers "I didn't like the way they looked." Also, it's a problem when you talk to your coworkers when it slow.
