Pros

If you like hustle culture, this may be the place for you. There are some really great people to work with here. They are in the business of selling sales, so on a macro scale I’m sure they’ll continue to do fine. Benefits and add-ons offer, like LinkedIn Learning, are pretty good overall (if you have the time to utilize them).

Cons

If you desire flexibility or work/life balance, this isn’t the place for you. - The CEO is inflexible with a “my way or the highway” mentality and constantly pushes the hustle-culture down everyone’s throats. - If things don’t go well for the company on quarterly/annual goals, be prepared to be berated by him in an all-staff meeting. I’ll grant that it isn’t directed at a specific person, but it still feels very personal when everyone is being yelled at in a public forum. - If you disagree with this policies or beliefs you may be openly mocked for them, such as a recent case of being told that you can “speak to your manager about your plan to exit the business” if you don’t like the RTO mandate. Other general complaints: - Lower level management styles vary wildly. Some of them micro manage while others can’t be bothered to keep you updated on deadlines and new/upcoming requirements you’ll be held to. - They call it “fast-paced” but this means you should be prepared for policy and requirement changes to happen at any time with very little-to no-notice given - Many positions feel like they want you to burn out, trying to cram as many customer and meetings calls into your day as possible. Good luck having any time between to use the restroom or get a drink of water!

Thanks for popping on Glassdoor to leave us a comment about your experience at ZI. It’s true that our culture is fast-paced and yes it’s demanding but we are making great strides in our learning and developing offerings to ensure you thrive and can find a great work-life balance. And as you heard Henry mention during the All Hands meeting, there are great benefits to reap when you are present in the office! You might not even realize how much you’re learning from listening to how your manager deals with a conflict or hearing how a more seasoned seller pitches a new customer. You might also pick up on useful details on a project or spot a chance to share input while you’re filling your water bottle, or microwaving your lunch. The message was not mocking in nature, rather it was to help explain that our hybrid model was designed to build relationships, drive collaboration and maintain culture. It was a true passion for our culture to see us all thrive together!

Pros

ZoomInfo has an incredible company culture that truly stands out-- even working remotely, you feel connected and part of something bigger. The company has a strong focus on being a leader in its space and is constantly innovating, which keeps the work exciting and meaningful. There is a genuine willingness to let ideas and concepts flourish, and employees are empowered to contribute in real ways. I am coming up on four years here, which speaks for itself-- this is a place where you can grow, get promoted quickly, and build a real career. The development resources are outstanding, including McKinsey Leadership programs, internal leadership courses, and LinkedIn Learning. Managers are supportive and invested in your success which makes showing up to work exciting

Cons

At times, communication between departments can be a challenge at the individual contributor level, which can make cross-functional collaboration feel a bit siloed. Additionally, there is still work to be done around diversity in leadership-- increasing representation of people of color and women in leadership roles would make an already great culture even stronger.
